Sustainable Horticulture: A Key to Futuristic Farming is a comprehensive and insightful book that delves into the principles, practices, and prospects of organic horticulture as a foundation for sustainable agricultural development. It addresses the growing global demand for environmentally responsible farming by exploring the historical evolution, importance, and techniques of organic systems, while highlighting indigenous practices like Natueco farming and bioformulations such as Panchagavya, Jeevamruth, and Beejamruth. The book also covers modern approaches to climate-resilient horticulture, the use of biofertilizers, natural pest and weed management, and post-harvest handling of organic produce. Furthermore, it provides in-depth discussions on certification standards, regulatory agencies, market dynamics, and export opportunities at national and international levels. By integrating traditional knowledge with scientific advancements, the book equips students, researchers, extension workers, and agri-entrepreneurs with practical tools and knowledge to promote ecologically sound, economically viable, and socially inclusive horticultural systems.
