As the former Principal of Kasturba Gram Rural Institute, Indore, and a Professor at the Indore School of Social Work, Prof. (Dr.) Ranjana Sehgal has made a profound contribution to social work education and corporate social responsibility (CSR). With a service spanning 43 years, her expertise encompasses teaching, research, curriculum design, and corporate training in areas such as social casework, women's empowerment, social policy and development, HRM, and CSR. As a Founder Member and Vice President of Bhartiya Samaj Karya Parishad, she has been instrumental in the Indianisation of social work education, striving to imbue it with a Bhartiya perspective. Her outstanding contributions to education have been recognized with the prestigious Global Award for 'Outstanding Contribution to Education' from the World Education Congress in 2024 and the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' of the Madhya Pradesh Leadership Awards in 2024. A distinguished member of the Academic Council at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Dr. Sehgal is also a prominent voice in CSR and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) at the workplace. She has nurtured generations of students and researchers, spread worldwide.
