It Provides Perspectives in Plant Sciences in India as Reflected through contents of thirty selected Papers by Expert botanists who participated in different symposia or focal theme lectures organised in the section of Botany during platinum Jubilee session of Indian Science congress held at pune from January 7-12, 1988. the topics covered pertain to themes of basic and applied nature of great value in the emerging frontiers of plant science research in india. these represent the present and future trends in researches in the country and reflect the 'state of art' status.The contents concern nearly all chosen fields of botanical research.
