Knowledge society encompasses a complete transformation of all areas like education, economy, health, agriculture and more importantly knowledge creation, exchange, utilization and its protection. Application of ICT in these sectors can only bring revolutionary changes to meet the objectives of such a technology driven society. Easy access to intellectual and knowledge resources can only be possible if our library and information professionals could realize its importance and make use of sophisticated technology to enhance their professional capabilities to cater effective and efficient services to users.
