About the Book

Public library system is one of first few sectors that shut down with the initial attack of COVID-19 and result closes of all its activities. People also start adopting all kinds of precautional measurement to overcome the challenges such as lockdown, social distancing, etc. After about one year of crisis, now we have started realizing that we have to stay with the COVID-19 for our day-to-day activities and we will able to win the battle with COVID-19 pandemic day by day. Thus, to understand the changing behaviour of people especially information seeking patter and its effect in Public Library and challenges, it is planned to highlight the various aspect of COVID-19 and new possible in this book “Impact of COVID-19 in Public Library System”. This edited volume discusses the various issues and challenges faced by Library and Information Centres especially Public Library System in such pandemic situation not only from the India, but also from abroad. This book will be extremely useful to understand the problem identification and possible solution in such case by the students, scholars, faculty members, or LIS professional and information seekers.
