The proportion of �Reached� to �Unreached� tilts heavily towards the latter in our country. In spite of the fact that we have achieved great strides of innovativeness in space, digital and agricultural technology, the population under the poverty line is still alarmingly high. There are plans and programms designed and launched to promote inclusive development. Obviously the effort is not adequate. Abdul Kalam�s dream of PURA is still unfulfilled. It is time we rise to the occasion. The editors need to be complimented for putting together a bunch of articles in diverse fields of life sciences with a common goal of health of the society. The articles ranging from antimicrobials, antivirals, fish and dairy management, rodent control, mosquito control, biodiversity including invasive alien species and their impact. The book is good for teachers, researchers and students equally. The whole effort supports the concept of unity in Diversity. The article on obesity in students is a warning bell to youth to think in terms of yoga and other health practices in order to be able to live up to the adage �Healthy body houses a Healthy mind�.
