This book covers current developments in the field of data mining, time series analysis, and predictive analytics which employ advances in computational technology to shape next-generation real-world applications. It contains selected research papers presented at the National Conference on Data Mining and Predictive Analytics (NCDMPA 2020) which was held at the Department of Computer Science, Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, Kerala, India, on January 17–18, 2020.

                The National Conference (NCDMPA 2020) aims at creating a meeting point for researchers and practitioners that address new challenges in all aspects concerning both data mining and predictive analytics and also provide opportunities for networking and collaboration among scholars from academia, industry, and government.

                Key topics of the conference are algorithms for big data, applied mathematics, applied statics, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, big data and high-performance computing big data applications on heterogeneous architecture such as healthcare, surveillance and sensing, e-commerce, etc., big data security, privacy and services, big data technologies, business intelligence, data mining and IOT, data mining and knowledge discovery approaches, data mining and machine learning tools, data mining using nature-inspired computing, data mining applications, data models for big data analytics, intelligent health, machine learning techniques for big data, natural language processing, optimization and big data, pattern recognition, prediction and its applications in all domains, predictive analytics, regression analysis, recommender systems, time series classification, time series analysis.

                This book included 14 chapters which are the accepted articles of NCDMPA 2020. The authors of these chapters are PG students, Ph. D scholars, faculty members of various engineering colleges and universities.
