By announcing the New National Education Policy (NEP) on July 29, 2020, the  Government of India paved the ground for a revolutionary change in the educational system. In order to achieve the goal of making India a “global knowledge superpower” through NEP 2020, the education system must be made more adaptable, all- encompassing, and multidisciplinary in order to maximise students’ individual talents. In order to create a new system that is in line with the aspirational goals of 21st-century education and is consistent with India’s traditions and value system, NEP 2020 proposes the revision and revamping of every aspect of the educational structure. The
NEP 2020 initiative has its own effects on the educational system as a whole to bring holistic approach in education system in India so that the overall development of the students can be ensured. In short, it is expected from the NEP 2020 that it’ll surely bring the significant impact on the development of the nation as a whole and fulfil the motto that has been put by the Govt. behind it. 
The following are some of the numerous reforms that could have a significant impact on the entire educational system: National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Education-UG, PG with Multiple entry and exit Options; Research: Plans for Quality Education in Line with NEP 2020, Optimal Learning Environments and Support for Students, Research: Towards More Holistic Inter-Disciplinary and Multi-Disciplinary Research; MOOC and OER, Global Access to Knowledge Resources, Plans for Quality Education in Line with NEP 2020, and so forth. 
The current webinar publication includes 16 articles that have been written by academics and researchers in accordance with NEP 2020 discussing roadmap for outcome based education; NEP and nature of higher education, Challenges of implementation of NEP 2020, Use and usefulness of modern technology in studies, E- Library management and usage etc. The debate, discussions, and deliberations held throughout the seminar will result in more serious considerations and adjustments to the NEP 2020 vision as well as to the students and researchers future professional endeavours.

 

About Author

Dr. Monika Singh is working as Librarian and Principal In-Charge of the Government College
Rajnagar, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. She has obtained PhD from University of Delhi in
2022. Prior to join Government College Rajnagar in Dec., 2019, she obtained BLISc, MLISc, and
M.Phil. from University of Delhi in 2013, 2014, and 2016, respectively. More than 20 publications, in
national and international repute journals and conferences are into her credit with participation in
various professional programmes. She has also delivered presentations in various conferences and
seminars of LIS at various national and international platforms. Apart from this, Dr. Monika Singh is
an active member of professional associations such as SRFLIS, DLA, SLA and ILA.

Shri Brajraj Singh is currently working as Sports Officer at Government College Rajnagar,
Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. He completed his education from a prestigious institute of
physical education, Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior. He got his first
opportunity to teach students in 2010 in Kendriya Vidhayalaya Sangathan. He kept on his journey of
teaching in the organization for almost 8 years. In 2018 he got selected for district Sports and Youth
Welfare Officer in Madhya Pradesh Government, Bhind, Madhya Pradesh. More than 10 publications,
in national and international repute journals and conferences into his credit with participation in
various professional programmes.
