About Author
Manash Pratim Goswami is working as a Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass
Communication at North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong. He has more than two decades of
experience in media education. He did post-graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication and
secured a gold medal. He graduated as a science student with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
(Hon) from the University of Delhi. He completed his doctorate (PhD) on the topic of publicity
strategies of Hindi Films. He worked previously as an Associate Professor and head of the
Department of Media and Communication at Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur (TN). He
worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of
Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh. In his two-decade-long
academic journey, he has published over three dozen research papers in UGC CARE Group I and
Scopus Indexed journals. His research articles published by reputed publishers, including Sahitya
Akademi, primarily focused on art, culture, traditions, cinema and new media. He regularly writes
features and op-eds for several leading newspapers, magazines and websites.
