A career in "librarianship" encompasses creating and maintaining libraries' holdings of books and associated materials as well as providing readers and others with access to these resources, the role or responsibilities of a librarian. This edited volume provides various perspectives on various technological applications in academic libraries. This volume focuses on the viewpoints of researchers, librarians, information professionals, publishers, and library users in India. About Author

Dr. S. Dhanavandan, is working as Deputy Librarian at Central University of Tamil Nadu,
Thiruvarur-610005. Tamil Nadu. He serves twenty three years in the LIS profession. He has
guided Six Ph.D scholars and Doctoral Committee member in various Universities in Tamil
Nadu. He has published more than 145 articles in National and International Journals and
more than 175 papers presented and published in National and International Conferences.
And he authored more than 4 books in Library and Information Science and 60 Chapters
published in edited books. He has attended more than 50 Seminars/Workshops and training
programmes. And he adjudicated many Ph.D theses of various universities in Tamil Nadu. He
served as Chairperson and resource person in many workshop and conferences and also he
organized more than 17 workshop and conferences
