This book ‘Moths of Tamil Nadu: Noctuoidea’ provides general data on the moths of superfamily Noctuoidea from Tamil Nadu, India.  It contains 203 species enumerated based on the examination of the field collections. Illustrations are given in color images arranged in 18 plates in systematic order. For each species Latin names, synonyms, distribution and seasonal availability are presented. 

This book would be helpful to all students, teachers, scientists and researchers, both professional and amateur lepidopterists. It will serve as a guide for the faunal studies of Noctuoidea in India and the neighbouring countries. We hope this book will give motivation for further research into insect biodiversity of the Indian peninsula.
